Avery Dennison

Official Avery Dennison training, hosted at Quest One.Avery Dennison’s architectural window film class runs in our Lake Elsinore warehouse — taught by their instructor, on their curriculum.

Nobody is born knowing how to tint. Below is the class we host ourselves, plus the other places we genuinely send people when they ask us how to get started or how to level up. Quest One doesn’t certify installers — we just supply them, and point them at the people who teach this well.

Where else to learn

We don’t run these. They’re the people who have been doing right by this industry, and who we’d point a new installer toward.

The automotive counterpart to the architectural class above. If you’re cutting cars rather than buildings, this is the Avery-run class to look at — same format, different glass.

What people take away from it

“Essential tricks and techniques that are essential to this industry.”— Payton, past participant

Beyond the squeegee work, the class spends real time on the part that sinks most new shops — the business:

  • How to price your projects for profitability
  • Understanding and communicating your value to clients
  • Best practices for installation and jobsite efficiency
  • How to navigate customer objections with confidence
  • Creating estimates that protect your bottom line
  • Building a reputation that leads to repeat business
Straight with you: Quest One does not certify installers, and none of these programs are ours. The Avery class is taught by Avery’s instructor — we host the room. The Tintstitute is an independent school. We list them because they have been doing good work for this industry and for the installers coming up in it. Pricing and dates are set by them and can change; confirm on their pages before you book.

The Tintstitute — Austin Cook

Online + hands-on

San Luis Obispo, CA · teaching since 2017

Austin Cook started tinting at 19 and has been training installers — online and in person — for the better part of a decade. This is the deepest video library in the trade, and the closest thing to an apprenticeship if you can’t find a shop to take you on. Auto tint, flat glass, PPF, wrap, and the business side.

Window Film AcademyAutomotive tint, start to finish. Built for people with zero experience.
Flat Glass AcademyArchitectural film — residential and commercial glass. The one to take if you want to sell flat glass.
1-on-1 hands-onAt their San Luis Obispo facility, built around your skill level and what you want to fix.
Mentorship & consultingPricing, growth, hiring — the stuff that actually decides whether a shop survives.
